ABOUT ME

As an individual I appreciate how my life in a whole influences me as an artist. I am very spontaneous, outgoing, but yet I'm mellow, or serene would be a better word. My personality has so many different dimensions which is why I think I adapt and connect with so many people.

With my images or the eye that I have for the world around me I think I create reality and raw beauty. I let people really see the subject for what he or she or maybe even it really is. Some days I could be photographing a man or woman or child, other days I could be doing landscapes or street photography. With my work I hope people look at it and say, " I see what story you were trying to convey, I get it." That's what I try to create in my pieces.

I never once asked myself why I wanted to be an artist until about a year ago. Since I was a little girl, Art was a huge part of my life, especially with my uncle being an artist, which is where my dad says I get my influence from. Truly I can say that I am an artist because I see the world differently than most people. What people may see as ugly or unwanted, I see as interesting and needed. God made a place for us all in this world and that's why I will never be anything other than an artist.

In my work I try to convey a story, a narrative. I want my audience to look at my images and feel like they've known my subject forever, or maybe they see their mom, grandmother, dad, sister, brother or any family member. I want you to feel the pain, or happiness someone is showing in their expressions. I want people to either feel like they're in the image or know the subject in my image. I want to convey life. As a spiritual and religious person, I feel like having a close relationship with

Jehovah God, the Master Artist, is my biggest influence. Sometimes just taking in all of his creations and just seeing how he took time to create these awe-inspiring creations, that helps me to take my time to see the beauty in my surroundings, he's my mentor you could say. And later in life, I want people to look at my images and remember how they felt when they first saw it. I want them to see life in its rawest form.
